Refreshed Media are launching a really exciting project this month. Yodelling Mum is a fun and quirky greeting cards company, with a personalised search which allows users to find the perfect card based on interests and occasion. This feature should allow users to find the perfect card quickly and easily.
This project has been created with an emphasis on social media and creating a strong brand identity through a number of different characters. The website integrates with Facebook in the Yodel Zone, the users account area, allowing users to import their friend’s details and compile a calendar of birthdays and update contact details.
Refreshed Media have also developed Yodelling Mum’s Facebook page and Twitter account @YodellingMum
HTML 5 is touted to be the future of the internet. Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) is widely used in creating sites across the internet. The previous version HTML 4 was launched in 1997 and has evolved with the internet as it is now to handle multimedia. The infographic below explains HTML5 in more detail. Google Chrome is the main browser that best handles HTML5 at the moment and their website Chrome Experiments offers designers and programmers the opportunity to submit their own experiments, in HTML5 as well as other technologies such as WebGL and Canvas.
HTML5 has also been used to create dynamic music videos such as those by Arcade Fire- The Wilderness Downtown and Ok Go – All is Not Lost. Both these videos clearly demonstrate the level of interactivity that HTML5 offers users, creating an enriched and better quality browsing experience.

We are currently looking to recruit a Pitch/New Business Development Manager for our Bournemouth team.
This role would ideally suit a high level Account Director with a passion for the pitch process. The primary duties of the role are to deal with new business enquiries largely generated through warm leads and building a rapport with potential clients and co-ordinating high level creative pitches. You will also be required to negotiate and close any pitches. Candidates for this role will have at least 4 years agency experience with an excellent knowledge of digital. This role will suit someone who has previously worked in an Account Director role with a track record that demonstrates the ability to engage with and sell to large SME’s and national brands.
Refreshed Media provides services which include website design and development including CMS and ecommerce sites, search, email and social marketing. You will be joining a team who are very passionate about digital and are great fun to work with.
