Social networks are increasingly important in today's personal and business communication, accounting for 1 in 10 internet searches in the run up to Christmas.

One of the current rising stars is Twitter - a micro blogging website where users put one line status updates on what they're up to, or post links to interesting articles.  You "follow" people you are interested in (and if you're really interesting, they will follow you back!) and your home page is an RSS feed of all of their status updates.
