Google kills off PCs

Google is near to launching Gdrive, which allows users to store all their entire files on the internet.

Gdrive would use Google's current online data storage product, and Gmail and would potentially mean any device with an internet connection could act as a PC.

It could also potentially be powerful enough to boot up programmes and a Google operating system.

This would of course strengthen Google's power as they have access to an increasing amount of personal data, and privacy campaigners are worried.

Gdrive would rival Microsoft’s Sky Drive which offers 25GB of free storage but with a limit of 500MB per file.
