YouTube in music deal
Burgeoning video sharing site YouTube has signed a deal with media fat cats Warner Music to allow them to use their material legally.
The deal means that Interviews and videos by Warner’s artists can now be used by the site in return for a percentage of the advertising revenue.
The deal was made possible with the development of a royalty-tracking system that detects when videos using copyrighted materials are played on the YouTube site.
